About GYRSG
GYRSG stands for 'Gay York Region Social Group'.
Our group is based in York Region, Ontario and was formed in 2006.
We organize and host regular, informal social events at venues across York Region, for members of the LGBT community and their friends.
We are open to all age groups and we don't have any membership fees.
Our Events
Our social events are very informal, welcoming to newcomers and often attended by people who come on their own.
You need not worry about the fact that you might not know anyone else at the start. You won't be alone, and you'll never find a friendlier group of people.
We only select venues that are known to be gay-friendly.
They are usually the kind of places where you can arrive uncommitted and check us out before deciding to join us.
So feel free to eavesdrop on us from a nearby table, before deciding whether to join us. You certainly won't be the first to do that!
How To Join Us
To find out the time and location of our events, simply check out the event calendar on GayYorkRegion.com.
At all our events, we display the GYRSG logo on each of our tables, as it appears at the top of this page.
So, when you arrive at the venue you can either ask the staff or simply look for a table with our logo on display.
